ww2dbaseHMCS Anticosti was commissioned into Canadian service to combat the German submarine threat. After the war, she was returned to the British Roayl Navy and was sold into the civilian market in 1946.

my father captain J J Coleman was master of ss anticosti in WW2 and received a commendation on 29 July 1941. I cannot find any information about this boat and it is clearly not the Canadian navy Anticosti launched in 1942. Any help wuld be appreciated. Moir Webb
