ww2dbaseThe Fiat-Revelli M1935 gas-operated heavy machine guns were developed from a previous model, M1914, which were used heavily in WW1. After the design being accepted in 1935 (thus the model name), Fiat-Revelli M1935 heavy machine guns entered production in 1937 with Società Metallurgica Bresciana. Although the new design simplified the overly complicated M1914, the resulting weapons were still considered less than ideal. Production for these weapons ended in 1943.
