ww2dbaseM9 anti-tank grenades were the first light anti-tank weapon that the US Army wielded as it moved into the early 1940s. They were designed to be fired from grenade launchers. Each grenade held 4 ounces of TNT, which detonated on impact. Their armor penetration capability was very limited, and thus they were rarely used after the US entry into WW2 in Dec 1941.
