This film was made during the war at a time that the American understanding of the jet-stream across the Pacific was still quite poor. In the film, the chart showing the path across the Pacific arches far to the south. In reality, the jet-stream arches far to the north, along the Aleutian Islands and down the coast of North American. This is well evidenced by the distribution of the Japanese balloons found in North America.
