Gridley Operational Timeline

1937年6月24日 Gridley was commissioned into service.
1944年10月28日 Destroyer USS Helm, assisted by destroyer USS Gridley and TBF Avenger aircraft from carrier USS Belleau Wood, sinks either Japanese submarine I-46 or I-54, 100 miles east of Samar, Philippines. [Both I-46 and I-54 were lost the same day in the same area so there is some uncertainty, but I-46 is more likely.]
1946年4月18日 Gridley was decommissioned from service.
