ww2dbaseHMT Gulland was commissioned into British Royal Navy in 1943 to counter the German submarine threat. After the war, she was sold to a Belgian company in Mar 1946 for civilian service. In 1947, she was sold to another company which renamed her Henken. In 1949, she was sold to Arab Navigation & Transport Co. in Aden and was renamed Arab Trader. On 13 Apr 1951, she ran aground three miles north of Mombasa, Kenya, and she sank on the following day.
