ww2dbaseZ52 was one of the seven Type 1944 diesel-powered destroyers planned to be equipped with sizeable anti-aircraft weaponry with modern electronics. She was one of the five laid down in early 1943, but she was broken up on the slip after the entire project was canceled in Jul 1944.

Hi,
I was curious to know what source states the ship was laid down. Sources appear to be conflicting on the subject, with some stating Z52-Z56 were laid down at Deschimag but later scrapped, while others say construction never began?
