In 1939, she was a named a people's assessor of the Supreme Court of Russia. In Apr 1941, she was elected chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Russia. She would remain in this role until Mar 1947. Under her leadership, she continued to grow Ulan-Ude's industrial base, calmed the citizens as they endured through war time rationing, and coordinated the delivery of agricultural products westward to feed the front line soldiers fighting against Germany. Retiring from politics, she attended the Buryat-Mongol State Veterinary (now named Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V. R. Filippov), becoming a veterinarian.
