Unexploded WW2-era Bomb Discovered in Augsburg
A 1.8-ton British bomb, dropped by aircraft in 1944, was discovered by construction workers in Augsburg in southern Germany on 20 Dec 2016. 50,000 residents were evacuated on 25 Dec 2016 for experts to defuse the bomb. Augsburg police had announced that the effort was successful.
