I was 13 years old in Austria, now living in England for 50 years.
I feel glad to be able to read about the War only now via the
Internet.
I remember well running to the cellars for safety; and meeting
Allied Soldiers giving us chocolate and other goodies.
my Mother would do little jobs for the officers cleaning etc..
I made my home in the UK and been happy!
Thank You for listening. Inga

Better yet, thanks for sharing (doesn't matter how much you share, and at that age and so long ago, it is expected - what matters is you share). Too many don't care about history and if it wasn't for people sharing what they have to share, it (WW2) wouldn't be in living memory (and sooner than later it will be this way!) but only history (and who knows what that includes? Stories are worth a great deal). Sharing memories brings perspective to play which is important (to have and to understand) and equally fascinating (at least to those who enjoy history).

Thank you for sharing and hosting! One doesn't readily get to other perspectives on our American/English dominated internet.
