TBM ADVENGER:
Crew: Pilot/Radio Operator who also was the Bombardier and Rear Turret Gunner.
Armament:
1x.30 Caliber forward firing machine gun w/300rds. for the pilot, later replaced with 1x.50 Caliber machine gun w/500rds, Radio Operator had 1x.30 Caliber machine gun with 500rds, later replaced with 1x.50 Caliber machine gun. Rear turret 1x.50 Caliber machine gun w/500rds, weapon off set to the left. Later model Advengers had wing mounted 50 Caliber machine guns w/600rpg.
Advengers carried torpedos, bombs, rockets and dept charges also equipped with airborne radar. Post-War Served with US Naval, Marine and Reserve Squardons retired 1960
