A MUCH OLDER LOOKING 18 YEAR OLD:

Photo taken of Simone Seqouin by Robert Capa and published in Life Magazine. She was a farm girl when war broke out. In 1943 she joined the
"Free Shooters" named after a group of saboteurs who fought the Germans during the France-Prussian War.

IN THE ACTION: IS PARIS BURNING?

She served as a liaison and messenger, and later promoted to the rank of Lieutenant awarded the Croix de Guerre, she also captured (25) Germans. Photo shows her armed with the German MP40, 9mm Sub-Machine Gun w/32 round stick magazine. One can almost hear La Marseillaise...
