Monterey Operational Timeline

1943年6月17日	Monterey was commissioned into service.
1944年9月3日	Task Group 12.5 consisting of carrier USS Monterey, cruisers USS Chester, USS Pensacola, USS Salt Lake City, and destroyers USS Cummings, USS Reid, and USS Dunlap conducted a bombardment of Japanese positions on Wake Island in the Pacific.
1944年12月18日	美國第三艦隊第38特遣部隊的多艘艦船駛入菲律賓海的颱風科布拉（Typhoon Cobra）。三艘驅逐艦及790名官兵喪生。
1945年1月21日	USS Monterey arrived at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for an overhaul and repairs of battle and typhoon damage.
1945年3月24日	USS Monterey departed Puget Sound Naval Shipyard after repairs.
1956年1月16日	Monterey was decommissioned from service.

Hi There, does anyone remember a crewman named Samuel Brelsford? He was from Belfast originally, then joined the US Navy. i am his grandson in Australia, any help would be great.
