New Orleans arrived Subic Bay with TF 74 August 2 1945, departed August 28. Her War Diary has HMAS Shropshire as part of TF 74 on July 24. HMAS Warramunga is mentioned on August 16. CruDiv 6 (New Orleans, San Francisco, Tuscaloosa) and DesRon 51 are also present, and would form TG 71.1 on August 28 underway for the Yellow Sea.
