There is another cruiser moored alongside Chester; visible are its No. 2 turret gun barrels, forward superstructure rangefinder and mainmast, close-together funnels with searchlight tower between, aircraft handling cranes, aft superstructure and aft mast. The placement of those features matches that of the New Orleans-class. Since the New Orleans and Minneapolis are ID’d at far left, this obscured cruiser must be one of the remaining four: Astoria (CA-34), Tuscaloosa (CA-37), San Francisco (CA-38) or Quincy (CA-39).
Also, beyond New Orleans' bow appears to be the target ship USS Utah (AG-16)... note the old-style forward cage mast atop her superstructure, her straight single funnel and the face of dismantled No.3 turret, with her starboard boat handling crane beyond. Just aft of No. 3 turret is her tall pole-style mainmast.

The battleships are, left to right, USS Colorado or West Virginia outboard of Idaho, Nevada, outboard of Mississippi, New Mexico, outboard of Maryland or California. On the far right is the white Hospital ship USS Relief. The cruiser identified as Chester is certainly a Northampton-class cruiser and it is most likely Chester, but some uncertainty remains.
