Note the two twin Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun mounts and the 20mm Oerlikon on the stern. Note also that the handwritten photo label misstates the date as 1942. This boat sunk after striking an unknown object off Newport, Rhode Island, United States, 22 Feb 1944.
