The surveyors were surprised to find all three guns of the forward turret still in place since all salvage reports said the ship had been fully disarmed of her big guns.

Fun Facts:
1: Turrets 3 and 4 were turned into shore batteries on Oahu, though one was never completed.
2: While Arizona herself never fired her guns in combat, three of them were used on another ship. The guns of Turret 2 were salvaged, straightened, and relined and installed on USS Nevada after D-Day. Nevada used them when shelling Iwo Jima and Okinawa, so I guess you could say Arizona got some posthumous payback.
