Note the censor’s markings on the image calling for Gen Gaffey to be cropped out with the result being Image http://ww2db.com/image.php?image_id=11834

WARRIOR:

"I've been in the Army thirty years when my superior gives me an order, I say Yes, Sir and do my Goddamndest to carry it out".

POLITICS BY OTHER MEANS:

At the end of WWII in Europe Patton was relieved of command of his beloved 3rd Army a lot of back door politics was involved to transfer him to the 15th Army, that was a paper army that a Lt. Col. or full Colonel could have overseen it had no troops or equipment, but was involved in writing the history of the US Army in Europe during WWII.

Patton should have been made Commandant of the War College teaching officers the "Art of War"
What's that famous movie quote from the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove:

"War is too important to be left by politicians
...they have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought"

General Jack Ripper played by Sterling Hayden
