Military Parade Leningrad. T-35-2 was built in April 1933, cost 525,000 rubles, for that price the Red Army could buy nine BT-5 Light Tanks. Note improved smooth main turret

There was alot of espionage and ideas regarding tank warfare in the interwar years. The origins of this tank are almost certainly not of Russian design. Actually, it is believed that the Russians had copied the idea from the Vickers A1E1. It is another tank that is VERY similar to the T-35, though it did come out first. Notabley, the turret placement, the two small turrets, and the overall shape of the hull.

Looks impressive, but in modern armored warfare it became a dinosaur. Did you know the T-35 had a crew of eleven men!
