ww2dbaseLashio Airfield in Burma was occupied by the Japanese in Apr 1942. A number of sorties were launched from Lashio Airfield to attack US bombers stationed at Dinjan Airfield in India. After the war, it was converted to civilian use, and it remains a civilian airport at the time of this writing.
